Note from the Directors

Deep Into Darkness has brought us immeasurable fulfillment since we first conceived the idea two years ago. From the daunting task of script-writing every 5 minute timestamp, for 15 brilliant actors, to countless Viewpoints training sessions with the cast, creative brainstorming sessions with an impossibly talented crew, and seeing all the pieces of our vision come together these past few weeks, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve shared with you tonight.

Inspired by a show we fell in love with, called Sleep No More, our goal was to give Vancouver audiences an experience they would never forget. Our search for compelling content to build on naturally led us to Edgar Allan Poe. With tales of love, lust, death, madness, and darkness, his wealth of stories helped inform our vision. And it’s been such a pleasure to see that so many others are equally enraptured by his groundbreaking work.

To our Deep Into Darkness cast and crew, thank you for your endless commitment, trust, patience, humour and gratitude on this crazy journey. We’re privileged to have met you as friends and to now call you family - an insanely talented and inspiring team.

And thank you to each and every one of you, our adventurous audience members. It takes a special type of person to walk into an experience blind, with an open heart and mind. Thank you for trusting us to create something truly unique in Vancouver.

We hope you enjoyed your journey, and be sure to visit again soon - your experience will be different each time, and there’s so much more to explore!

From the deep, dark, depths of our hearts,

Laura & Sydney
